Letter-appeal to the media from 37 Italian ambassadors of the climate pact appointed by the European Commission<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201cBeing part of EuCliPa<\/strong>, the Italian network of Ambassadors of the EU Climate Pact<\/strong>, means setting up a shared vision, a commitment that is often carried out in the professional life as well as in the private sector to combat the ecological and climate crisis. And it is precisely on the language used and on the communication strategies that, as Ambassador<\/strong>, I concentrate most of my effort, since talking only about climate change means forgetting that what we are going through is a global environmental crisis, of which the man is responsible, and which has a devastating impact on biodiversity. While the latter is our main ally against climate change. To underline the importance of what and how it is communicated, as EuCliPa we signed a letter addressed to the Italian media asking them for commitment, scientific rigor in the presentation and centrality of the data which, clearly, must be adequately explained.\u201d<\/em> Valeria Barbi, political scientist, naturalist and science writer<\/strong>, who has always been passionate about the environment and biodiversity, and who in 2020, was appointed Ambassador of the European Climate Pact by the European Commission, an EU-wide initiative that invites people, communities and organizations to participate to climate action and build a greener Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n
